Ginger Crapse with her son, Colin, who portrays the spirit of young Matthew Whaley.

Virginia Historica grew out of our love for history, and a desire to share that enthusiasm with visitors to the historic triangle of Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown.
Virginia Historica is owned by Ginger and Ray Crapse. Both military "brats" who have lived around the world, they settled in Williamsburg (this time around) 20 years ago.
Ray is retired Navy, a military historian and a writer. Ginger is a retired history teacher, writer and editor who is working on a series of historical novels for young boys. They are joined by their son, Colin, who is nearly 13. He is currently a home- schooled eighth grader who enjoys portraying the "spirit" of the young boy his elementary school was named for.
But the company could not survive without the rest of the cast of characters called upon to fulfill the many requests for apperances. All qualified and enthusiastic historians, some by vocation, some by avocation, they bring a variety of characters to life.
